Parent Education Groups

 
 
A series of parent classes on child development and behavior management topics will be held on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Chapel Hill Pediatric Psychology’s office in Chapel Hill.  All groups are led by Katherine Tyson, Ph.D.  
 
Each 1.5 hour class focuses on particular issues that parents face when raising children during different developmental periods.  Classes are educational and preventative in nature.  
 
Cost per class: $30 per parent, $40 per couple.  Payment is due prior to group participation.

  2. Healthy Sleep Habits for Your School-Aged Child/Adolescent (parents of 7-18 year olds)
  3. Managing School-Related Worries in Your Elementary School Child (parents of 6-10 year olds)
  4. Navigating Parent-Child Relationships in Early Adolescence (parents of 10-14 year olds)
  5. Making Sense of the Special Education Process (parents of 5-18 year olds)
