Abby Wojciechowski is a licensed marriage and family therapist who provides individual, couples, and family therapy. She graduated from East Carolina University with her Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services with a concentration in Child Development and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Ms. Wojciechowski has experience working in multiple private practice settings and an outpatient setting at the hospital. She has worked with children, adolescents, adult individuals, couples, and families focusing on anxiety, depression, self esteem/confidence, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, and more. She works from a trauma informed and culturally sensitive mindset and is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to treat PTSD and help clients reprocess distressing events or beliefs. She will use your individual strengths to create meaningful change in your life.
Ms. Wojciechowski works from a Solution Focused, strength-based, and Family Systems perspective, and tailors her work to best fit you and your needs. She is trained in many evidence-based modalities, such as Emotion Focused therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Solution Focused brief therapy (SFBT), play therapy, and EMDR. Abby approaches therapy through a biopsychosocial lens. She believes multiple factors and environments play a role in one’s mental health and therefore considers her client’s family, relationships, work and school settings, and spirituality important to consider in the therapeutic process.
Her goal is to make therapy a collaborative and rejuvenating space where you have an unbiased listener in your corner. She will help you take charge of your life again by processing past and present traumas, working towards goals to improve all aspects of your life, and teaching you how to maintain the progress you make in therapy.
