As advocates for the child, adolescent, teen, or young adult, we collaborate with each other and the child’s family to provide research-based solutions. These are practical tools to help families become more resilient when managing stressful life events and persistently troublesome behavior.
Your child’s CHPP therapist can provide a number of services, including:
Educator. We share books and other materials, offer parent groups, and provide solutions to help develop realistic expectations.
Advocate. We speak for the child in court, help parents negotiate with the school system, or advocate for the child’s needs within the family system.
Treatment provider. We provide direct treatment to the child or family, or indirect treatment, such as intervention within the child’s environment.
Case manager. We assess and network to meet the needs of the child and family.
We have followed thousands of children from infancy through adulthood. For more than 25 years we have had the opportunity to help change children’s – and their families’ – lives at many levels. A number of children and parents return time and again for help at different ages and stages throughout children’s development. Some of our former patients, who are now parents, have returned to us for help with their children.
