Dr. Riddle and Ms. Maternowski provide consultation services for families who are struggling to support their child’s or adolescent’s well-being in the home setting. When traditional outpatient therapy and school-based supports are no longer sufficient to meet a child’s needs, we guide families in identifying appropriate therapeutic residential programs.
We work with children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), intermittent explosive disorder (IED), selective mutism, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (Levels 1 and 2), substance and alcohol use, gaming addiction, eating disorders, self-harm behaviors, and failure to launch.
Following a comprehensive review of treatment history, psychological testing, and current functioning, we develop a personalized list of carefully vetted programs that have demonstrated effectiveness for the individual’s specific diagnoses and needs. Recommended options may include stabilization programs, residential treatment centers, wilderness therapy programs, and therapeutic boarding schools.
Our goal is to help families make informed, confident decisions and find programs that offer the best opportunity for lasting growth and healing.
